About the Artist

HAUS is an Australian-born contemporary artist, painting in genres of pop and figurative art, with an iconic style that uses maximalist bold colour in a minimalist way. HAUS is an Australian-born contemporary artist, currently living and painting in South East Asia. Though painting marks a new discipline for him, his 20 year career in design, digital arts and photography, developed in him an eye for composition and a deep love and understanding of colour, which both find prominence in his paintings. A lover of contemporary, abstract, neo-expressionism and pop art, he draws inspiration from the likes of Tom Wesselmann, Kenny Scharf, warhol, Monika Gil’Sing, basquiat, Arik Brauer, Yayoi Kusama and David Hockney - particularly for their unashamed use of colour and form.
