Tamara Perrett

I am a young, queer, multi-disciplinary artist based in Melbourne/Naarm, working across painting, drawing, sculpture, and video performance to explore self-reflexive eroticism and feminine empowerment. My practice explores self-reflexive eroticism and sexual exploration as gestures of feminine empowerment, positioning the body as a site of agency, pleasure, and cultural value through painting, drawing, sculpture, and video performance.

Working from a perspective between a Female and Queer Gaze, I challenge the hetero-patriarchal Male Gaze and reframe feminine desire as autonomous, exploratory, and unapologetically empowered.
