Scott Owen

With a focus on interior scenes, Sydney artist Scott Owen explores high chroma colour relationships in his paintings to amplify feeling and mood. Scott Owen (b. Darwin 1988) is a Sydney based artist who investigates the bittersweet, joy in melancholy, and earnest reflection through observational painting. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at the National Art School Sydney in 2015, and was selected as a finalist in the York Botanic Art Prize 2020 and the Eutick Memorial Still life Award in 2019. As of 2020 he has also been teaching painting classes one day a week at the North Sydney Community Centre.
