Maree is an acrylic painter based in Northcote, a creative inner city suburb in Melbourne. Studied Art and Design , majoring in portraiture, but since evolving into the exploration of tropical themes. Selling in many Melbourne stores, both prints and originals and many commissioned pieces both in Australia and overseas. Welcome to Maree Nic Art, where human silhouettes and environmental elements combine with vibrant colours and always present palm to evoke serenity and mystique. Artworks combine the exploration of culture, lush foliage and mediterranean and inner east influences of paradise and faraway lands. Largely inspired by travel, exotic locations, village life and cocktail sunsets.
