Katie Pink

Katie Pink is an artist based on Bundjalung Country in Northern New South Wales, working across painting, sculpture and installation. Her practice uses materials such as polyurethane, acrylic ,expoxy risen and pigment to build layered surfaces and forms. Working across painting, sculpture and installation, Pink uses materials such found objects polyurethane, acrylic and pigment to build layered surfaces and forms. Her practice draws on memory and gestures of adornment, shaped by early experiences of femininity and self-presentation.

Her work explores the tension between softness and resistance, where processes of layering and embellishment become a way of reshaping inherited patterns.
