Jay Feather

Jays oil paintings are figurative mixed with expressionism. Her works are vibrant and emotionally charged, aiming to convey the innermost emotions of the artist through her work. Sometimes they serve as social comment, and sometimes they are also an expression of personal feelings and experiences. Jay creates her work from her Bargara Beach studio in QLD. Jay’s expressive works are often created in a trance like state, ideas often just start painting themselves. She paints ideas freely and not from an image. Some works are comments on society and quirky nuances. Other works reflect her surroundings living close to the ocean and her day to day life. Jay has a creative industries degree from James Cook University and a Diploma in Fine Arts. She has exhibited in QLD, NSW, VIC and her art has been purchased and sent all around the world. She has been awarded a number of awards for her work.
