Jacqueline Scotcher

Jacqueline Scotcher paints from how particular places make her feel over time, aiming to offer a beautiful portal for the viewer. She lives in regional northern NSW, Australia, and this environment fuels much of her recent practice. Jacqueline is interested in painting what it feels like moving through and connecting with particular environments. The abstract paintings build up over time with emotive colour and gooey brushwork being key.

Jacqueline has completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Honours in Creative Industries and Doctorate in Philosophy (Creative Arts). She has worked as an artist and educator for the past decade and has had several solo exhibitions.

She currently lives in Mcleans Ridges, northern NSW with her young family.
