Jacklyn Foster
About the Artist
Jacklyn is a full-time artist based in regional Victoria, Mildura, specialising in contemporary still life acrylic artworks, with a particular focus on kitchen and dining-inspired themes. Jacklyn’s creative practice has become an integral and fundamental part of her daily life, rooted in routine and reflection. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Jacklyn approaches painting as an intuitive process. Her work is deeply influenced by her surroundings and the everyday moments that unfold within and around her, drawing inspiration from domestic spaces and the simple rituals of daily living.
Jacklyn recently collaborated with Greens Baking Australia to design a tea towel for their upcoming launch of ready-made cakes. Her large-scale public art contributions include participation in "Me & Uoo Uoo" for the Royal Children's Hospital's 150th anniversary and the RSPCA's "Wombat in the Room" project. In 2021, Jacklyn was awarded the nationally recognised Fortyfivedownstairs ‘Emerging Artist Award’, which celebrates the achievements of early-career artists.
Jacklyn’s work has been exhibited in multiple group exhibitions, and she has held several solo shows throughout her career.
