Heidi Maunder

Sydney artist Heidi Maunder creates amazingly multifaceted, highly colourised landscapes and abstracts that reflect her deep-seated passion for the unique Australian environment. Focused on the earthy tones and textures of the desert, the visual dynamism of the coastline and Australia’s naturally occurring flora, she utilises a combination of both memories and photographs of these locales to produce astounding visual scenes. Additionally, Heidi’s love for travel and her personal perceptions of nature greatly influence her creative process and what ultimately emerges onto her canvas. After successfully gaining online traction and selling her works through Instagram, Heidi began exhibiting her works widely over many group showings. With an increasing desire to transport viewers to the most profound and dream-like scenic scapes, her artistic style has steadily evolved in the early stages of her career, becoming more ethereal and mo re deeply concentrated on the presence of light. In 2024, she hosted her first successful solo exhibition and, in early 2025, she became a finalist in a number of prestigious Australian art awards.
