Chrisney Formosa

Chrisney Formosa is an Australian contemporary artist. Classically trained in Architecture her bold geometric style fuses her architectural training with a striking emotive quality which capturers the viewer’s imagination. As the daughter of an art teacher, Art was discovered at a very young age. Art has provided a strong undercurrent in her upbringing and formal education and led Chrisney to pursue an education in Architecture which she continues to practice full time. Alongside Architecture she has continued to practice art for the past 20 years exploring many mediums including watercolour, clay, illustration, oil pastel and acrylic. There is a direct linkage between her formal education in Architecture and her art. Evidence of bauhaus, mid century and post art deco movements flourish in her pieces.
