The diversity of the Australian landscape is what inspires me as an artist. Ann Rayment is a contemporary Australian landscape artist residing in Dolphin Point, New South Wales. Drawing inspiration from the picturesque surroundings of her coastal home, Ann's art reflects her deep connection to the natural world and her fascination with its ever-changing beauty. Born and raised in Leeton, NSW, Ann has always been drawn to the vibrant colour and textures of the land. After a career in teaching, she embarked on a journey of exploration, seeking to capture the essence of the Australian landscape through her art. Ann's artistic process is dynamic and multifaceted. She paints en plein air, immersing herself in the landscape and allowing its energy to flow through her brush onto the canvas. Back in her studio at home, Ann further refines her work, using collage techniques to reconstruct her sketches and infuse her pieces with depth and dimension.
