Art is deeply personal and my intention is to paint pieces that bring joy and represent beauty and wonder. I focus on colour, light, playfulness, and our common connection to place. Joy-pop is my style. I made the name up so you're free to interpret the meaning any way you want. Influenced by Hockney, Smart, Bacon with a pinch of Ken Done Australiania, I seek to break the politics of art and bring back fun. The ocean is a muse that features in most of my work.
