Andrew Sleeman

Andrew Sleeman is a Brisbane based artist who uses acrylic and oil paint to compose scenes of everyday, modern life. Andrew is interested in a variety of subjects, including still life, interiors and landscape. He has been attracted to scenes that make the viewer feel like they are catching glimpses into modern life and invite them to question the actions, interactions and relationships of a variety of subjects. Andrew often captures subjects in quiet moments or interacting in groups at cafes and bars. Often the inclusion of mobile phones or other items ask the viewer to question the new ways we engage with people in these settings.
