Amber Reid

Amber Reid is a Sydney-based artist and educator specializing in acrylic painting. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and Art Education from the University of New South Wales. Amber has showcased her work in both group and solo exhibitions, both in Australia and internationally. Amber’s work draws inspiration from the natural and built environments, focusing on vibrant colors and simplified forms. Recently, her time living in Darwin, NT, has influenced her work, which explores the concept of "visual escapism" through depictions of the tropical landscape and historical architecture, all rendered in bright hues and a semi-naïve style. A strong love for colour drives her creative process as well as an interest in architecture and mid century design.
