Amanda Ogilby

About the Artist

Amanda Ogilby is a Margaret River artist known for her atmospheric and refined still life oil paintings. Her work balances a modern aesthetic with traditional techniques, showcasing a strong foundation in representational realism and a sensitivity to light, tone and detail. Each piece pairs carefully chosen homewares, florals and seasonal produce to create quietly evocative compositions with a sense of calm and presence. Inspired by a creative upbringing and a return to painting later in life, Amanda now works exclusively in oils - drawn to their depth and subtlety. Her practice is both contemplative and intuitive, shaped by a deep appreciation of beauty in the everyday. Amanda has been finalist in the Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale Art Award (twice), The Next Big Thing Art Prize (2025) and in the Unearthed Art Prize (2023). Her still life artworks are sought after by collectors and interior enthusiasts across Australia, offering timeless additions to contemporary spaces.
