Aleisha Hobson

Aleisha’s work involves experimenting with different media including plasters, hand forged pieces of brass and natural pigments to bring a tactile and textural element to her work, blurring the lines between a painting and sculpture. Aleisha resides in a small coastal town on the Qld coast, and is heavily influenced by her tropical surrounds. Allot of her pieces are still life focussed, with an abstract and playful twist. Despite this, her work isn’t bound to one particular genre, as she prefers to explore different styles without restriction. Along with her more sculptural plaster pieces, Aleisha also enjoys working with other media including painting with acrylics and oils pastels.
